LEGAL TERMS OF THE
“BEST OF THE BEST”
1. Contest Organiser
This contest is organised by Cupa Pizarras, S.A.U. (hereinafter “Cupa Pizarras”), with Tax ID (C.I.F.) A32225427 and registered office at A Medua, s/n, 32330, Carballeda de Valdeorras, Ourense.

2. Purpose of the Promotion
The purpose of these legal terms is to set out the conditions governing the “Best of the Best” contest organised by Cupa Pizarras through the dedicated website set up for this purpose: https://cupabest.com/ (hereinafter, the “Contest”).
Participation in this Contest is free of charge and implies full and unreserved acceptance of these legal terms and conditions.
3. Scope and Duration
The Contest is international in nature and scope.
The participation period for the Contest will begin on 1 May 2026 and end on 30 November 2026.
Any entries received after the closing date, i.e. after 30 November 2026, will be excluded from the Contest.
4. Conditions of Participation in the Contest
To take part in the Contest, entrants must submit a video in which the natural slate supplied by Cupa Pizarras plays a leading role.
Creativity, originality and quality of execution will be valued by the jury, so entrants are encouraged to make full use of their imagination and technical or artistic skills.
The video may be recorded in either landscape or portrait format and may show ongoing or completed projects or any other type of staging, provided that it has a direct and clear connection with Cupa Pizarras natural slate.
The length of the videos is a guideline only. However, it is recommended that videos last a minimum of 45 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes.
No restrictions will be placed on the perspective of the video (aerial, ground level, etc.), leaving entrants complete freedom to decide how to portray the Cupa Pizarras product.
Employees of CUPA GROUP may not take part in the Contest.
Cupa Pizarras will automatically and immediately exclude from the Contest any entrant who breaches the rules of good faith; behaves in an inappropriate, deceitful or improper manner; uses disproportionate, fraudulent or abusive means; or fails to comply with any provision of these terms.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that the content submitted to the Contest is original and that they hold all the rights, authorisations and consents necessary for its submission and subsequent use by Cupa Pizarras under the terms set out herein. Entrants further warrant that the video does not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, image rights, copyright or any other legitimate rights.
Cupa Pizarras reserves the right to unilaterally amend the conditions of the Contest, and to suspend it in the event of force majeure or any other cause which, in its opinion, justifies doing so.
5. Prize
All Contest entrants will receive, free of charge, a welcome pack sent by Cupa Pizarras, which will include a promotional gift. This gift may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
For these purposes, an entrant shall be any person whose entry has been correctly registered and who meets the requirements set out in these terms.
The entrant who wins the Contest (hereinafter, the “Winner”) will be awarded a trip to Spain, including a guided tour of the natural slate quarries operated by Cupa Pizarras in A Medua (Ourense). This activity will be limited to a maximum of six (6) people, with the Winner choosing who will accompany them. Travel, accommodation and the activities planned for the group during the visit will be paid for by Cupa Pizarras on the terms communicated to the Winner once the prize has been awarded.
The Winner will also receive a commemorative trophy recognising them as “Best Natural Slate Roofer”, in accordance with the decision of the expert jury. This award is purely symbolic and carries no monetary value.
As an additional part of the prize, access for up to three (3) people, chosen by the Winner, to a VIP box at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium will be provided to watch the official match between Real Madrid Club de Fútbol and Fútbol Club Barcelona, scheduled for 22 April 2027.
If, for any reason beyond the control of Cupa Pizarras, the match cannot be held on the originally scheduled date, access will apply to the new date on which the match takes place, provided that the prize conditions so allow. The prize is personal and non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for its cash value or replaced by any other goods or services.
Cupa Pizarras reserves the right to modify or replace any element of the prize for justified reasons, ensuring in all cases that its value is not reduced.
The prize does not include anything not expressly stated in these legal terms.
6. Contest Mechanics
The Contest will be conducted as follows:
First round of voting. – The first round of the Contest will consist of a public, open vote on the dedicated Contest website https://cupabest.com/. This vote will be conducted using the WP-POLLS application.
To this end, Cupa Pizarras undertakes to run the Contest in accordance with the principles of transparency, objectivity and impartiality, adopting the reasonable technical measures available to prevent and detect fraudulent behaviour or manipulation of the vote.
Once the public voting period has ended, the video with the highest number of votes in each group will go through to the second round of voting. In the event of a tie, Cupa Pizarras reserves a casting vote to break the tie.
Second round of voting. – The second round of the Contest will be judged by a professional jury made up of six judges of different nationalities.
Each jury member may award 5, 3 and 1 points to the three videos which, in their opinion, respectively deserve those scores.
The video with the highest total score after adding up the votes cast by the jury will be declared the Winner.
In the event of a tie in the jury’s final score, the winner will be the video that has received the highest number of 5-point scores.
7. Selection of the Winner
The first voting phase will take place between 1 December 2026 and 3 December 2026. The expert jury vote will take place in the following days.
The Contest Winner will be announced by Cupa Pizarras on 15 December 2026, following the expert jury vote, by e-mail to the address provided, by publication on the dedicated Contest website, on social media or through any other channel it deems appropriate.
Cupa Pizarras may request from the Winner any information and documentation necessary to verify compliance with the participation requirements and to arrange delivery of the prize.
8. Acceptance and Amendment of the Legal Terms
A full copy of these legal terms will be available for consultation throughout the Contest at the following address: https://cupabest.com/legal-terms/.
Participation in the Contest implies full acceptance of these terms by entrants.
Cupa Pizarras reserves the right to unilaterally amend these terms, undertaking to communicate any such amendments through the same medium in which they were originally published.
9. Publicity and Use of Image
Entrants expressly authorise Cupa Pizarras to publicly announce the results of this Contest, including, by way of example and without limitation, by e-mail to the address provided, by publication on the dedicated Contest website and/or the corporate website, on social media or through any other channel it deems appropriate.
Entrants also authorise Cupa Pizarras to use, reproduce, edit, adapt and distribute the videos submitted to the Contest, as well as images and/or videos of the winning projects and of the award ceremony itself, for promotional, advertising, informational, institutional and corporate purposes, through any medium or format, including the Internet and social media, without such use giving rise to any right to financial compensation.
Entrants warrant that they hold the rights and authorisations necessary for the submission and subsequent use of the content sent to the Contest, and that such content does not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, copyright or image rights. In particular, where identifiable people appear in the videos, entrants shall be responsible for having obtained the relevant authorisations where legally required.
10. Data Protection - Right to Information
The personal data provided by Contest entrants to Cupa Pizarras will be processed for the purpose of managing participation in and running the Contest and, where applicable, announcing and delivering the prize, and will be processed in strict compliance with applicable data protection legislation.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Cupa Pizarras website, which contains additional information on the processing of personal data, including the data controller, the purposes, the legal basis, the retention periods, the possible recipients and the rights of data subjects.
All data subjects whose personal data is processed may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing and objection to processing or, where applicable, withdraw their consent, by contacting Cupa Pizarras by e-mail at: es@cupapizarras.com.
11. Governing Law
These legal terms shall be governed by Spanish common law.
Any disputes arising between the parties in connection with these legal terms shall be settled before the Courts and Tribunals of Ponferrada.
